Phelps Chamber of Commerce 3rd Annual Radar Run
North Twin Lake Saturday, February 6, 2010 across from the Aspirus Clinic.
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. with racing slated for 10:00 a.m. The registration fee is $10 for three runs and will be collected the day of the event. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded in each class. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event. There will also be 50/50 raffle tickets for sale. In addition to the radar run, the chamber is sponsoring a poker run, raffle and bikini run. The poker run begins on Friday evening and will finish at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday with hands being dealt on North Twin Lake at the site of the radar run. Games cards are $5.00 and may be purchased at participating businesses in Phelps. Raffle tickets are $20.00 each with only 125 being sold. Prizes are: 1st place $1000, 2nd place $250 and 3rd place $100. Winners will be announced at 3:00 p.m. at the radar run. Tickets are available at the Chamber Office and at participating businesses in Phelps.

The bikini run will begin at 2:00 p.m. on the site of the radar run. Beside the chamber events, there will be many other opportunities for family fun throughout the day. The Phelps Women’s Club is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat brunch at Holiday Lodge from 7:00 a.m. to noon. A School/Community winter carnival will be held at the Phelps School playground from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. From 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. a chili/soup cook-off will take place in the Phelps School Commons/Big Gym with free dinner being served. The day will wrap up with a dance at 7:30 p.m. with music provided by the U.S. Navy Band Great Lakes Ensemble.
